Allied Counties Youth Football League Uncategorised League Suspension

League Suspension

The ACYL management committee have tonight made the decision to suspend all league fixtures with immediate effect until Monday 18th January 2021.

The management committee will meet on Thursday 14th January 2021 to discuss the way forward (following the Governments review on Tiers on Wednesday 13th January).

At our meeting this evening we discussed various scenarios and would like all clubs to communicate their views to me no later than 12 noon on Thursday 14th January – ACYL rule 6 (H) will apply

  • a – that we scrap all fixtures played thus far and start a new season with clubs playing all other clubs in there division once. (9 new matches in total)
  • b – leave the matches played by each club and allocate the remainder of the fixtures to play a full season. (18 matches in total)
  • c – leave the matches played by each club (our clubs have played between 2 and 6 fixtures thus far, this will leave between 3 and 7 fixtures to play) and allocate fixtures with clubs playing all other clubs in there division once and then introducing a cup competition for all clubs to enter if they so wished.

When the Management committee meet on Thursday 14th January we will make further decisions.
